Julie has been a physical therapist for 17 years and she has been a certified lymphedema therapist for 15 years. Julie initially graduated with her M.S. of Physical Therapy in 2006 from Texas Woman’s University. During Physical Therapy School, she had the opportunity to observe a lymphedema therapist in the clinical setting. She immediately knew that she wanted to pursue the training after earning her degree. She attended the Dr. Vodder School in 2008 and successfully completed the 160 hours of training to become a certified lymphedema therapist. In 2012, she achieved her Lymphology Association of North America, LANA, certification after sitting for the exam. She decided to continue her education and graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 while continuing to work full-time. This year, Julie earned the Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapist (CCST) credentialing after successfully completing the course offered by the Norton School of Lymphatic Studies.
Julie has a lifelong passion for learning and helping individuals during their journey through recovery following a cancer diagnosis, surgery, trauma and other illness. In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to read, crochet and travel, especially if it is to a historic home or the beach.
Michelle has been a Physical Therapist for 34 years.
She spent many rewarding years managing a large Physical Therapy department in Fort Worth. In recent years Michelle found her heart pulled to return to clinical care, specifically in the specialty of lymphedema. She successfully completed the arduous online, textbook, classroom with practical training and testing to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Studies. This year she completed advanced training to become a Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapist (CCST).
